Masjid in Mottingham and Eltham

Establish School & Community Centre in SE9 by 30th June 2025!

Alhamdulillah, our Mottingham & Eltham Islamic Centre has become a cornerstone for worship, learning, and community support in SE9. Our numbers continue to grow each week, and we now face an incredible opportunity to secure a permanent home—a building that we can transform into a full-time Salah and Community centre.

Owning our own facility will allow us to run daily prayers, Qur’an classes, and community programmes without constraint, and it will provide a stable, welcoming environment for our elders, youth, and entire family of believers.

To make this vision a reality, we are humbly asking for your support through a Karz Hasanah (interest-free loan). Every pound you lend will go directly toward acquiring and equipping this building, ensuring that our community has a dedicated space to worship, learn, and grow together.

Reception area, Three classrooms, School hall, Staff room / kitchen and WCs, Children’s WCs and changing room, and an Office making a total of 4,700sq ft

There is a good-size former playground to the rear of the building with direct access from Portland Road, as well as several external storage buildings and a further standalone classroom.

£750,000 Karz Hasana Needed.

Granting an interest-free loan for this cause is one of the most beautiful forms of charity in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us that helping one another to establish a place of worship is a continuous charity whose benefits extend far beyond the transaction itself.

Your contribution, no matter how large or small, will be a lasting legacy: a Sadaqah Jariyah from which countless families will continue to benefit for generations to come.

Please join us in seizing this blessed opportunity—your support today will help build the foundation of our mosque, Insha’Allah, and your reward in the sight of Allah will be immense.
